DAY BEFORE TATTOO

  • GET PLENTY OF REST THE NIGHT BEFORE. YES, YOU ARE EXCITED, BUT REST WILL GET YOU THROUGH THE TATTOO SESSION.

  • DO NOT DRINK ALCOHOL, HEAVILY, THE NIGHT BEFORE YOUR TATTOO APPOINTMENT. JUST A LITTLE CAN THIN YOUR BLOOD THE NEXT DAY.

  • DRINK LOTS OF WATER.

  • BUY AQUAPHOR OINTMENT AND CLING WRAP FOR THE AFTERCARE PROCESS. 

  • IF YOU FEEL SICK OR ARE SICK, PLEASE CALL OR EMAIL AHEAD OF TIME TO RESCHEDULE YOUR TATTOO APPOINTMENT.

  • DO NOT COME IN TO GET TATTOOED WHEN YOU ARE SICK! ITS UNFAIR TO EXPOSE THE ARTIST, EMPLOYEES, AND OTHER CLIENTS TO YOUR SICKNESS; IT MAY VERY WELL HINDER YOUR TATTOO'S HEALING PROCESS. IF THE ARTIST NOTICES YOU ARE SICK, THEY HAVE THE RIGHT TO NOT TATTOO YOU AT THAT MOMENT.

DAY OF GETTING A TATTOO

  • YOU PLUS ONE. ABSOLUTELY NO CHILDREN!

  • BE SURE TO BRING A VALID DRIVER'S LICENSE, PASSPORT, OR PROOF OF AGE.

  • SHOW UP ON TIME.

  • PACK A SMALL BAG WITH: BOTTLED WATER OR JUICE, SNACKS ( PARTICULARLY ONES HIGH IN CARBOHYDRATES AND PROTEIN LIKE GRANOLA BARS, NUTS, CHIPS, CRACKERS, OR FRESH FRUIT ), AND A PILLOW OR SMALL ( CLEAN ) BLANKET. YOU MIGHT WANT TO MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A RIDE HOME IF YOU THINK THERE'S A CHANCE YOU'LL NEED ONE.

  • PHONES ARE TO BE ON SILENT AND PUT AWAY. YOU WILL GET A CHANCE TO CHECK IT BUT PHONES CAN BE DISTRACTING TO ARTIST.

  • IT MIGHT SEEM TO GO WITHOUT SAYING, BUT PLEASE MAKE SURE TO SHOWER OR BATHE BEFOREHAND. ALSO WEAR CLOTHING THAT WON'T MATTER IF YOU GET INK STAINS ON.

  • WEAR CLOTHES THAT ALLOW ACCESS TO THE AREA TO BE TATTOOED.

  • THE AREA TO BE TATTOOED, AND USUALLY A LARGE SPACE SURROUNDING IT, WILL NEED TO SHAVED TO PREPARE YOUR SKIN TO BE TATTOOED. DO NOT SHAVE OR TRIM AREA, THE TATTOO ARTIST WILL SHAVE AND PREPARE THE AREA TO BE TATTOOED.

  • ALWAYS EAT A FULL MEAL BEFORE HEADING TO YOUR TATTOO APPOINTMENT. EATING A HEAVY MEAL OR FILLING FOODS WILL HELP SIT MORE CALMLY.

  • DO NOT DRINK A BUNCH OF CAFFEINE OR ENERGY DRINKS BEFORE COMING IN FOR YOUR TATTOO APPOINTMENT. IT WILL THIN YOUR BLOOD AND MAKE IT HARDER TO SIT STILL.

  • MAKE TIME TO REST AFTER GETTING TATTOOED. GETTING TATTOOED CAN TAKE A LOT OUT OF YOU AND WILL ALSO HELP WITH HEALING.
